Probe into child nursery injuries Nursery shut over child fractures

Five people have been questioned by police after children at a day nursery in Nottinghamshire suffered "unexplained" injuries. Five people have been questioned by detectives after three toddlers at a day nursery suffered broken bones.
Police and Ofsted have started a joint investigation into allegations relating to the Rocking Horse Day Nursery in Station Road, Plumtree. One boy who attended the Rocking Horse Day Nursery on Station Road in Plumtree, Nottinghamshire, had a broken leg, police said.
Officers were called in after a number of children suffered physical injuries. All of the children are between one and two years old. Ofsted has shut the nursery while police investigate.
The nursery has been closed and its registration suspended by Ofsted while the inquiry continues. Two people have been arrested and released on police bail, while three were questioned under caution.
Details of when or where the injuries were thought to have been sustained have not been released. In a statement Nottinghamshire Police said: "This matter began in mid-August 2009 after a child who attended the Rocking Horse Nursery in Plumtree was taken to hospital with an unexplained fracture.
