The families of a married couple found dead at their home have paid tribute to the "funny and loving" pair as a man is due in court charged with their murder. A man has appeared in court accused of murdering a married couple who were found dead at their home.

Derek Martin, 64, also known as Derek Glenn, of Moulsecoomb Way, Brighton, is due in court in Brighton later. Derek Martin, also known as Derek Glenn, of Moulsecoomb Way, Brighton, appeared at Brighton Magistrates Court on Monday.
Mr and Mrs Bashford's family said they were "amazing parents to four beautiful children". Mr Martin has been remanded in custody and will next appear in a Crown court on a date yet to be set.
The 64-year-old defendant, who police said was known to the victims, spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth.

Det Ch Insp Kimball Edey, of the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team, said: "Our thoughts remain with the families of the two victims at this extremely difficult time. A Sussex Police spokesman said post-mortem examinations have been scheduled to take place in the next week to confirm causes of death.
"While our work to establish the exact circumstances of what happened are ongoing, we are not seeking anyone else in connection with the matter."
