Blake's trial heard how he swung the patio umbrella pole above his head, hitting 17-year-old Greg Jones in the face.
The teenager suffered injuries to his lip and chin.
Jurors head how Blake tried to hide the pole by throwing it into a neighbouring garden centre.
He later admitted lying to detectives about having the pole after being shown CCTV footage of him fetching it from behind the bar.
Blake was also given a six-month sentence, to run concurrently with the two-year term, for intending to pervert the course of justice.
