Det Insp Graham Kerr said they were working to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the fatal fire.
"We are treating the cause of the fire as unexplained at this time," he said.
"I wouldn't like to rule anything in or anything out until we establish the circumstances.
"We have a number of key witnesses who will be interviewed and hopefully this will lead to the conclusion as to what actually caused the fire."
