Wadhurst: Winemaker wins award at the age of 20

A winemaker has won a prestigious award at the age of just 20.

Ashton Kirby has been running Bewl Water Vineyard, near Wadhurst, East Sussex, for three years.

Now he has picked up a WineGB gold for his Reserve Cuvée 2018.

Mr Kirby said: "Wine growing really has become all-consuming."
