Road chaos caused by lorry fire Matches off after traffic chaos

The whole of the eastbound carriageway of the M8 has been closed following a lorry fire near Shotts. Two football matches have been called off after team buses became stuck in a massive traffic jam on the M8.
The incident has caused lengthy tailbacks and Strathclyde Police have asked drivers not to get out of their cars. The Kilmarnock and Stranraer teams were travelling to their games against Hearts and Berwick when they got caught up in the chaos caused by a lorry fire.
The whole of the eastbound carriageway of the motorway has been closed following the blaze near Shotts, causing lengthy tailbacks.
The Kilmarnock v Hearts game will now be played at 1945 BST on Tuesday.
Strathclyde Police have asked drivers not to get out of their cars.
