Man dies after a chemical alert

A man has died and homes in a street had to be evacuated following the discovery of a chemical substance at a house in a seaside resort.

Officers were called to Aquarium Street, Rhyl, by paramedics who had taken the man to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, Bodelwyddan, where he later died.

A forensic examination of the scene was continuing, North Wales Police said.

Most of the families have returned to their homes and the man's next of kin has been informed.
