Murder inquiry into man's death Man, 59, died from stabbing wound

Police have launched a murder inquiry following the death of a man at residential flats in south Belfast near the city centre. A man who died after an incident at residential flats near Belfast city centre was stabbed, police have said.
A police spokesperson said it was believed the incident occurred shortly before 2030 GMT on Friday at Hartington Court on the Dublin Road. Detectives believe it happened at Hartington Court on Dublin Road at about 2030 GMT on Friday.
It is not yet known how the man died. One man has been arrested and is helping police with their inquiries. The dead man has been named as 59-year-old Daniel Whyte, who was originally from Bangor, County Down.
Detectives have appealed for anyone with information to contact them. Police have launched a murder inquiry and are continuing to question a 34-year-old man. Detectives have appealed for information.
