Postal workers in Ayrshire are taking strike action as part of a series of walkouts across the UK. Postal workers at mail centres in Ayrshire and Renfrewshire are taking strike action, as part of a series of walkouts across the UK.
They will be joining an estimated 12,000 workers in what is now the 14th week of industrial action by employees. About 300 personnel at offices in Irvine, Kilwinning, Kilmarnock and Johnstone are taking part.
Previous action in Scotland has affected areas including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Bathgate, Cumbernauld and Dunfermline. They are joining thousands of workers in what is now the 14th week of industrial action by employees.
