Administrators of the Cheshire-based Wine Cellar off-licence and convenience store group have said 320 jobs will be lost at the company. The firm, which operates under the Booze Buster, Simply Drinks and Simply Food & Drinks names, called in administrators Deloitte on Wednesday. The family-owned group had 170 stores but 109 have been sold to EFB Retail, saving 640 jobs. About 60 staff remain at its Runcorn head office. The company's remaining 61 stores will close and the 320 people whose jobs have been lost will be given support from the Redundancy Payments Office, a Deloitte spokesman said. |
