A body has been found washed up on a beach on a stretch of coast where a teenager was swept out to sea on a night out in Blackpool. | |
Jack Saunders, 18, from Wrexham, was hit by a wave as he went to get a "closer look at the sea". | |
He was with 11 friends on Saturday night when he went to the water's edge as a force seven gale was blowing. | |
Lancashire Police said the body was found at Starr Gate, near Blackpool Pleasure Beach, on the south promenade. | |
The body has not yet been identified. A spokesman said: "We cannot say yet whether the body is male or female." | |
