At least six people have been killed in a suicide bomb attack at a funeral in western Iraq, police say.

Fifteen others were injured in the attack in Haditha in Anbar province, 220km north-west of Baghdad.

The funeral was for a member of the al-Daghaytha tribe, which includes members of the police and army, AP reported.

Anbar province was once the centre the insurgency until many of the area's tribes turned against the more extreme jihadi groups.
