Witness plea after teenager death

A 19-year-old pedestrian involved in a collision with a taxi in Swansea early on Sunday has died in hospital.

Kyle Brogden, of Merthyr Tydfil, was described as "beautiful and loving," and who wanted to join the police.

South Wales Police want witnesses to the incident at Pentreguinea Road around 0050 BST on Sunday, particularly the occupants of a red or burgundy car.

The 55-year-old male driver of a black London LTI taxi has been bailed, pending further inquiries.

Mr Brogden's family said: "Kyle was a beautiful and loving young man who adored sport and aspired to be a police officer.

"He was dearly loved by all his family and friends and leaves three young sisters."

The family said they wished to thank the staff at Morriston Hospital where he was being treated.

South Wales Police want to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, stopped to provide assistance or who may have seen the vehicle being driven prior to the collision and who have not yet given their details.
