A teenage boy has admitted raping an eight-year-old girl after being released on bail for an earlier sexual assault on a 15-year-old girl. The boy, who was 14 at the time, attacked the child in a park and physically assaulted and raped her, Cardiff Crown Court heard. The girl told her mother the boy, now 16, had done "rude stuff" to her and "would kill her" if she told anyone. The boy pleaded guilty to rape and sexual assault and has been detained. Prosecutor Hilary Roberts said the girl's mother had become concerned after her daughter arrived home late. Mr Roberts said: "When she did come home she was crying and sobbing like never before. She could barely speak. She still has nightmares over what was done to her Hilary Roberts, prosecuting "At bath-time her mum saw she was covered in mud. She had cuts and abrasions to her back and hand and a cut on her left cheek. "The girl said: 'He beat me up and chucked me on the floor. He pushed me up against a wall and did rude stuff. "'He said he would kill me if I told.'" Mr Roberts said: "She still has nightmares over what was done to her." The boy from the Caerphilly area, who cannot be named to protect the girls' identities, is not related to either of them. The court heard that the boy had attacked a girl from his school weeks before he attacked the younger child. He sexually assaulted the 15-year-old before biting her and spitting at her. Jeremy Jenkins, defending, said the boy suffered from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and mental health disorders. The boy was detained under section 37 of the Mental Health Act and will not be released until after a Ministry of Justice review. He was also given a sexual offences prevention order and banned from working with children for life. Judge Philip Richards said: "What you did to those two innocent girls was truly dreadful. "I have no idea if they will ever get over it." |
