A County Tyrone village remains closed to traffic because of an ongoing security alert. Police have confirmed that they have been told that a 600lb bomb has been left in a van in Clady, near Strabane.
Police said there was a telephone warning that a bomb had been left in a van on the bridge in Clady. The vehicle was abandoned on a bridge in the village on Wednesday night with its hazard warning lights on.
According to local reports, people noticed a van parked on the Urney Road bridge with its hazard lights flashing at about 2100 BST on Wednesday. The police have closed a number of roads leading to the village as the security alert continues.
