Four men have been arrested during an attempt to take a family hostage in Newbridge near Toome. | |
Two shots were fired by police during the operation which began when officers intercepted a gang of men at a house on Aughrim Road about 0100 BST on Friday. | |
It is believed the gang planned to hold the family hostage while a bank employee was forced to hand over money. | |
