Iranian press condemns bombing
http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/rss/-/1/hi/world/middle_east/8314240.stm Version 0 of 1. Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards on parade 2008 The Iranian press has condemned a suicide bombing in Sistan-Baluchistan, in the south-east of the country, in which some 42 people died, including six Revolutionary Guards. Newspapers urge the authorities to call on Pakistan to take steps against agents they say have been operating from within Pakistan. One picked up on accusations by Iranian officials that the US and UK contributed to the bombing, suggesting that it would not have been possible without outside help. EDITORIAL IN HARD-LINE QODS The enemies of Iran have always been trying to create an atmosphere of fear, intimidation and insecurity in the country in order to realise their own evil objectives... What seems very important is the security terrorists enjoy in Pakistan. Pakistan has been the centre of many bloody terrorist attacks in recent years. The bitter events of killing of innocent people in eastern Iran show that most of these terrorist attacks have been led from inside Pakistan and the terrorists can easily enter Iranian territory and return home safely. EDITORIAL IN CONSERVATIVE KHORASAN Pakistan must promptly fulfil its duty by destroying the bases and safe havens of terrorist groups which perpetrate acts of aggression against Iran... Iran's diplomatic apparatus must act with force to make Pakistani officials understand that non-co-operation in this area means co-operation with the terrorists and the enemies of the Iranian nation. EDITORIAL IN CONSERVATIVE SIYASAT-E RUZ The ministries concerned should take action, and the [Iranian] Foreign Ministry should hold serious talks with the government of Pakistan, so that the points through which the terrorists enter Iran from Pakistan can be closed. EDITORIAL IN HARD-LINE JAVAN It is naive to believe that a small terrorist group like Jundullah can operate in the country without help from the American and Zionist [Israeli] intelligence services... If we take a look at the chapter on "supporting Iran's tribal and opposition groups" in the strategic document published by the [US-based think tank] Brookings Institution in June 2009... we can conclude that all the terrorist attacks have been masterminded on the basis of a pre-planned scenario against the oppressed people of Iran. EDITORIAL IN CONSERVATIVE RESALAT The American government has given itself the authorisation to bombard tribal groups in northern Pakistan. America's assault on Afghanistan and the ousting of the Taliban has dispersed the al-Qaeda network throughout the world. Many terrorist groups are acting now independently in different parts of the world, and especially in the western and eastern border areas of Iran. EDITORIAL IN CONSERVATIVE JAAM-E-JAM The concept of martyrdom is ingrained in the culture of the Islamic Revolution. What were the commanders of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps [IRGC] doing in the south-eastern province of Sistan-Baluchestan except attending a unity gathering of Shia and Sunni tribal leaders? Do the best and purest children of Iran deserve to be killed just because of their love for the people of one of the most impoverished parts of the country? BBC Monitoring selects and translates news from radio, television, press, news agencies and the internet from 150 countries in more than 70 languages.
