Disabled centre theft 'heartless'

Police are searching for the culprits who broke into a training centre for people with learning disabilities and stole gardening equipment from a shed.

The thefts from Antur Waunfawr in Caernarfon, Gwynedd, were between Friday afternoon and Monday morning.

Pc Phil Owen said the missing items were used on a daily basis by workers, who were very upset by the incident.

He said he was "appalled that a heartless thief or thieves have targeted the company".

Pc Owen said: "Workers at the site are very upset, as the items that were stolen are used by them on a daily basis."

He added: "I'm appealing to anybody who may have information regarding the burglary, or to anybody who has any knowledge with regards to the whereabouts of the stolen items, to contact myself immediately."

The missing items were two red Mountfield petrol lawnmowers, one grey Honda Champion petrol lawnmower and a Stihl petrol leaf blower with an orange and white bag.
