Version 0 of 1.

A 15-year-old boy who was shot in the chest in south London was the victim of an unprovoked attack, police have said.

Ryan Bennett, from Clapham, was found by police in Hickmore Walk in Clapham, on 9 October.

Ryan, who suffered a critical injury, remains in hospital where he is said to be in a serious but stable condition.

No-one has been arrested. Appealing for information, Deputy Ch Insp John Crossley said the teenager might not have been the intended target.

He said: "It is not clear whether Ryan was the intended victim.

"This appears to be an unprovoked attack which has left him in a critical condition in hospital.

"We know that there would have been a large number of people in the area and I would appeal for anyone who was nearby, or who has any information, to come forward."
