An investigation into the death of a teenager who plunged through a roof led police to a cannabis farm.

Dean Cannon, 15, was killed when he fell into a warehouse at the Garrion Business Park in Wishaw, Lanarkshire.

Officers attending the scene of the accident on Sunday uncovered a major haul of cannabis plants worth up to £500,000 and growing equipment.

A police spokesman said: "We can confirm that drugs were found in the premises. Enquiries are ongoing."

The death of the schoolboy from the Motherwell area is not being treated as suspicious.
