A 10-year-old boy found hanged in woods in what is thought to have been a "tragic accident" has been identified.

Connor Richard Tann died after getting tangled in ropes while playing in Hutton Woods, Guisborough, Teesside.

Connor, of Boosbeck, was pronounced dead in hospital after being discovered on Saturday evening.

Detectives said it was a "tragic accident", which happened as he swung on ropes in trees. A post-mortem examination found he died from hanging.

Flowers have been left in the woods since the incident.
