The 32-year-old, of no fixed address, is accused of killing Ashleigh Hall, 17, from Darlington, who was found dead in County Durham on Monday night. He is due to appear before Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court later. He was remanded in custody to appear at Teesside Crown Court on 3 November.

The accused man, who has not been named, was arrested after being stopped by police in his car on the A177.
