A child with special needs is understood to be the latest person to die after contracting swine flu in Northern Ireland. The chair of the NI Assembly's health committee has said the Department of Health's new policy of confirming swine flu deaths once a week is wrong.
The BBC understands the child, who was from County Antrim, died last week. She is believed to be the ninth person in NI to die with the virus. Earlier, the department said it was unable to confirm reports that a child with the virus died last week.
