Some NHS patients in England can now get the weight-loss drug Mounjaro from their GP. There are currently thought to be about 1.5 million people on weight-loss drugs in the UK.
Mounjaro and another weight-loss jab Wegovy were already available through specialist NHS clinics, and can also be bought privately. Some people are able to get the injections - called Mounjaro and Wegovy - through the NHS but most buy them privately.
