At least one person has been killed and seven others injured in a shooting at an office building in Orlando, US officials say. Police in the US city of Orlando are hunting a gunman who opened fire in an office building, wounding at least eight people.
The attacker is still thought to be on the loose, a Florida fire department spokeswoman said. Orlando police identified the gunman as Jason Rodriguez, 40, who used to work there. Spokeswoman Barbara Jones said he was "armed and dangerous".

Officers are conducting a floor-by-floor evacuation of the office block, the Associated Press says. It comes a day after a gunman killed 13 people at an army base in Texas.
People are streaming out of the building although some say they have barricaded themselves inside their offices, AP reports. Officials said the suspected Florida gunman was wearing a light blue polo shirt and jeans.

Panicked office workers rushed out of the building, although AP news agency said some had barricaded themselves inside.
Local television broadcasts showed a police helicopter hovering over the scene, as dozens of police cars blocked off streets in the surrounding area.Local television broadcasts showed a police helicopter hovering over the scene, as dozens of police cars blocked off streets in the surrounding area.
