Fifteen arrests were made at a derby football match between Swansea City and Cardiff City, say South Wales Police. | |
Two people were arrested during the game at the Liberty Stadium, Swansea which the home team won 3-2. | |
Another 13 arrests were made outside the stadium after the game. The arrests were for public order offences. | |
However, police praised the majority of supporters for their behaviour before, during and after the game which was attended by more than 18,000 fans. | |
Divisional Commander for Swansea, Ch Supt Mark Mathias, who was in charge of policing the match, said: "The overwhelming majority of fans behaved extremely well. | |

"There was some disorder in the Siloh Road area after the game but as a result of efficient policing this was limited and confined. | |
"I appreciate that big games such as this have an impact on the local community of Landore and I would like to thank residents for their understanding and support for which we are extremely grateful." | |
Extra officers and police vehicles were on duty as the fixture was marred by crowd trouble last year. | |
Both clubs had urged their supporters to behave following ugly scenes when they met last year. | |
