The body was discovered at a property in Abbeystead, Skelmersdale, on Saturday morning. The body was discovered by a resident at the back of a property in Abbeystead, Skelmersdale, at 1015 GMT.

Detective Superintendent Andy Webster, who is leading the investigation, said: "We have a team of detectives working hard to establish what happened.
"As yet, we haven't been able to identify the body. All we can say at this stage is that it is that of a white man."
