The incident occurred shortly after 6 p.m. near Cottman Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard, according to 6abc News. Authorities confirmed that two individuals were on board at the time, but their conditions remain unknown. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed that the jet went down around 6:30pm local time shortly after departing from Northeast Philadelphia Airport. At least two people were on board the aircraft that was en route to Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri.
“Major incident near Cottman and Bustelton Avenues in Northeast Philadelphia across from Roosevelt Mall. Roads closed in area including parts of Roosevelt Boulevard. Avoid area,” wrote the official X account of the City of Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management.
