As of 12:45 GMT, about 42,000 residents were said to be without power. SSEN said the power cuts in both the Swindon and Calne areas were resolved at about 12:13 GMT.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks confirmed on X at 12:51 GMT that "all supplies had been restored" in the Swindon outage. "We were alerted to a network fault in the Swindon area at 11:53 this morning; power was restored in stages with all customers reconnected 12:13.
"If you are still without power, please send us a DM so we can investigate further," it added. "We'd like to apologise to customers who were affected by the interruption and thank them for their patience as we worked to restore supplies.
"Investigations into the root cause are now under way."
SSEN said about 30,000 customers were left without power, but added that many customers would have been "automatically reconnected within a few minutes" before power was restored fully.
