Three British men have been killed and two others injured in a car crash in Holland following a police chase, according to a Dutch news agency. Three British men have been killed and two others seriously injured in a car crash in Holland, after they allegedly raided a cash machine.
The five men, four from Liverpool and one from London, were allegedly caught trying to break into a cash dispenser in Driel, RTV Utrecht has reported. Two men, aged 21 and 27, from Liverpool and a 25-year-old from London were killed when their car hit the central reservation of the A12 near Utrecht.
The suspects' car hit the central reservation on a road near Utrecht in the early hours of Saturday. Two other men, aged 25 and 28, and from Liverpool, suffered serious injuries in the crash on Friday night.
One of the dead men is reported to be aged 21 and from Liverpool. They have been arrested on suspicion of burglary, Dutch police said.
The two injured men are in a critical condition. A police spokesman for Gelderland Midden police force said officers had received reports of a burglary at a supermarket in the town of Driel.
By the time police arrived, he said, the suspects had fled. About 20 minutes later, officers received a report of a car crash on the A12.
When they attended the scene, they found the five men in the car, which was contained a substantial amount of cash covered in a security dye.
