Greater Manchester police officers are currently on Mosley Street, near to St Peter’s Square, after a collision which took place on Saturday morning. | |
Officers said the girl was taken to hospital after the incident in the city centre, and later died from her injuries. According to reports, the girl was a pedestrian on the street and was hit by the van after it rebounded after a crash with the tram. | |
The van driver is yet to be found, and the area and nearby streets have been cordoned off. | |
No arrests have been made, and Manchester Evening News has reported that the driver fled the scene. | |
