Two people have been charged after a four-year-old from Cambridgeshire had his face partially bitten off by a dog.

George Brown, of Huntingdon, who had 200 stitches in his face, was savaged by an American bulldog last month.

Toni Badcock, 30 and Michael Feehilly, 38, from Huntingdon, Cambs, have been charged with four counts of allowing a dangerous dog in a public place.

The pair, charged under the Dangerous Dogs Act are due to appear before Huntingdon magistrates next Wednesday.

George was treated at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge and underwent four hours of reconstructive surgery.

Last week George's wounds had healed up well enough for him to follow his parents, Danielle Jerrom and Sam Brown, down the aisle as they got married in the village church in Hartford, Cambridgeshire.

Mrs Brown said George is now being helped by a psychiatrist to help him get over the trauma of what happened.
