A University College London PhD student who filmed himself having sex with women he had drugged has been found guilty of multiple charges of rape. Zhenhao Zou had been studying mechanical engineering in the UK
Zhenhao Zou, a 28-year-old Chinese national, was accused of drugging and raping three women in London and seven in China between 2019 and 2023. A PhD student has been convicted of drugging and raping 10 women.

Zou, who was studying in the UK, was also found guilty of voyeurism, possession of extreme pornographic images and false imprisonment.
'Rape role play'
The court was shown multiple video recordings of the University College London student having sex with different women.
Zou told the jury he had discussed sexual preferences with one of the women he filmed, and she had said she liked "uniform role play".
"We specifically discussed the kinds of role play I like, which was rape role play," he said.
Zou told the court this was how the videos came to be made.
