Burglars assault woman at home

A woman has been threatened with a knife during an early morning burglary at her home in Carrickfergus.

The victim, who is aged in her 40s, went into a garage beside her home in Garron Heights at about 0600 GMT.

When she came out, she was grabbed and assaulted by a man and taken inside her house where two other men were waiting.

She was then threatened with the knife. The intruders then ransacked the property but nothing was taken. Police have appealed for information.
