An elderly motorist who died after his car hit the roof of a house which was below a steep road has been named. | |
David Meirion Davies, 92, from Aberystwyth, was cut free from his vehicle in the town by fire crews, but died later in hospital. | |
His car was wedged against the house in Bryn Road. Paramedics tried to treat him at the scene. | |
The house was empty at the time and no-one else was injured in the incident, which happened last Thursday afternoon. | |
Dyfed-Powys Police said an inquest had been opened into Mr Davies's death and adjourned to a later date. | |
