The spiky-haired pair had sung a medley of Wham's I'm Your Man and Wham Rap! (Enjoy What You Do) on a George Michael theme night on Saturday night's show.
Afterwards, judge Simon Cowell admitted they had "converted a lot of people" - despite comparing them to the less successful half of Wham.
He told them: "I don't think it was George (Michael) and Andrew (Ridgeley), it was Andrew and Andrew."
The twins' talents divided opinion - Cowell had said they couldn't sing and they regularly got booed on the show but have been popular with many fans.
On Thursday, Prime Gordon Brown sent his best wishes to the pair, saying he had got into trouble for saying they were "not very good".
The prime minister told ITV's This Morning he had "burnt my bridges with 'Jedward'" but hoped the twins would "do well".
