Police hunt for missing prisoner
http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/rss/-/1/hi/wales/south_east/8375712.stm Version 0 of 1. Gwent Police are asking for information to find a prisoner serving more than two years for burglary who has absconded from an open prison. Paul John Davies, 25, absconded from Prescoed Prison near Usk on Sunday. He was convicted of burglary and theft at Swansea Crown Court in January, and in May of aggravated vehicle taking at Neath magistrates court. Davies is about 5ft 9in and of slim build. He has short blond hair and green eyes. He is not a sex offender. His sentences, a total of two years and 39 days, are being served concurrently. Officers say it is believed he may be a potential risk to the public because he is no longer in the custody of the prison service. The public are advised not to approach Davies and to call Gwent Police on 101 if they have any information. |
