Bomb squad attends incident on Clacton-on-Sea beach

The discovery was made near Vista Road in Clacton-on-Sea, about 500m (1,640ft) from the resort's historical pier. A HM Coastguard spokesman said two rescue teams were sent to the scene at about 13:05 BST. Essex Police, whose officers are also in attendance, has been contacted for comment.
