Man hurt in supermarket shooting

A man has been injured during a shooting at a supermarket in Kent.

Police were called after witnesses reported a man brandishing a firearm, inside the Morrisons store in the Wincheap area of Canterbury.

A police spokeswoman said a man sustained an injury to his arm during the shooting at 2040 GMT on Thursday.

The injured man was later taken to hospital. An inquiry is under way and the Independent Police Complaints Commission has been informed.
