Mr Eveson was walking up the parade with his family when they noticed people running towards them. Suddenly, the car emerged from the crowd. Mr Eveson was hit in the chest, while his partner was dragged under the car wheels and his baby son's pram tossed down the street.
"I saw a gentleman on the bonnet and the rest was just chaos," he said. For a moment, he did not know if his partner or son had survived, he said.
