Three people, a one-year-old child and two adults, are in hospital following a dog attack in Greater Manchester. A one-year-old girl has suffered life-changing injuries to her face and two adults have been seriously hurt after a dog attack in Greater Manchester.
Officers were called to Baslow Road, in Denton, at about 17:50 BST on Thursday following reports several people had been attacked by a dog, Greater Manchester Police confirmed. Air ambulance crews attended after the incident in Baslow Road, Denton, at about 17:50 BST on Thursday.
A video taken at the scene shows a large dog being led into the back of a van by armed police. All three victims, including a 21-year-old woman and a 53-year-old man, were taken to hospital where they are receiving treatment for injuries that are not believed to life-threatening, police said.
A cordon can be seen in place in the residential area. The dog was seized by officers and was "humanely destroyed", Greater Manchester Police said.
The force has launched an investigation.
Det Supt Gareth Jenkins said: "This was an awful attack that has left a one-year-old girl with serious and life-changing injuries.
"Her family are understandably incredibly distressed by what happened here last night."
They are appealing for information and footage from anyone in the area.
