Officers were called at about 00:45 BST on Saturday after they received reports a man in his 20s had been assaulted and found in a garden of a property at Ashfield Close, Exmouth. Emergency services attended but the man died at the scene. Devon and Cornwall Police said two men in their 20s were found at an address at Hawthorn Grove, Exmouth, and were arrested on suspicion of murder.

DCI Ian Jolliff said: "Scene guards have been put in place at the crime scene and at a second address in Exmouth. DI Rob Smith, from the Major Crime Investigation Team, thanked the public for their support during the initial investigation.
"Residents will see a heightened police presence and visibility over the coming days as we gather evidence to deliver justice for the victim's family." He added cordons would likely remain in place for "some time".
