An East Anglian Air Ambulance spokesperson said: "Our aviation provider, Babcock, is working extremely hard to repair the issue as quickly as possible. A back-up H135 aircraft is currently covering Anglia Two while these repairs are undertaken." A spokesperson for the ambulance service said: "We're pleased to update you that as of 16:00 BST this afternoon the aircraft has been relocated and is no longer on the beach."

The spokesperson continued: "G-HEMC, our Cambridge-based helicopter, has been situated on the beach at Jaywick for the last three days as a result of a tail rotor hydraulic leak."
