A woman, 37, has been arrested on suspicion of child neglect after the death of a baby in Birmingham. Police have confirmed they visited a house in Birmingham hours before the death of a baby boy.
Officers were called to reports of an infant suffering a medical emergency on Culford Drive, in Bartley Green, at about 16:30 BST on Wednesday. A woman, 37, has been arrested on suspicion of child neglect after officers were called twice to an address on Culford Drive, Bartley Green, on Wednesday.
West Midlands Police said the baby boy was taken to hospital, where he sadly died. They initially carried out a welfare check in the morning, and hours later were called to reports of a baby having a medical emergency.
