No injuries were reported. The occupants of the van were taken to hospital for precautionary checks, with three members of the public also taken to hospital after being hit by falling rubble, according to West Yorkshire Police.
West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said three crews were called to the incident at 16:15 BST and were working working at the scene along with police and the ambulance service. None of the injuries are thought to be life-threatening, a force spokesperson said.

Damage to the building was being assessed by West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue and structural engineers, the spokesperson added.
New York Street has been partially closed because of the incident.
