A teenage Chinese girl has been killed and her fellow student arrested after a stabbing at their host family’s home. A teenage Chinese girl has been killed and her fellow student has been charged with murder after a stabbing at their host family’s home.
A 13-year-old girl, also a Chinese student, was assisting police on Tuesday afternoon after the death of the 14-year-old in the NSW Hunter region. Emergency services were called at about 10.20pm on Monday after one of the hosts heard a commotion and found a 14-year-old girl with an injury to her torso.
She was treated at the scene before paramedics took her to John Hunter hospital, where she later died.
A 13-year-old girl, also a Chinese student, was arrested at the scene and later charged with murder.
She has been refused bail and will appear in a children’s court on Wednesday.
