Drivers face delays as M5 between junctions 28 and 29 closed

Police said the southbound carriageway between junctions 28 and 29 had been closed while debris was cleared away A 6.5 mile (10.5km) stretch of the M5 was closed for four hours after a crash, police have said. Devon and Cornwall Police said both directions of the motorway between junction 28 at Cullompton and junction 29 at the A30 had been closed on Sunday morning after an accident involving an overturned caravan and a number of vehicles. They said no-one was thought to have been seriously injured but the northbound carriageway had been closed to allow the air ambulance to land. Both carriageways had been reopened by about 13:30 BST after debris had been cleared, they added. At 11:06 BST traffic agency Inrix reported long delays due to the incident.
