More wallaby sightings on border of Norfolk and Suffolk

A wallaby has been seen in Suffolk, close to the border with Norfolk More sightings have been reported of a wallaby running loose in the countryside. It was first spotted on Tuesday outside the village of Ilketshall St Andrew, near Bungay, Suffolk. Police were also called on Wednesday at 15:30 BST after a sighting on a road in Wissett, near Halesworth, a few miles from the Norfolk border. The animal jumped into a field and disappeared. The force encouraged anyone who has spotted the wallaby to contact them. The wallaby has been captured on camera by several people over the past few days It is not clear if the animal has escaped captivity or is wild. Wallabies are native to Australia but research suggests they are increasingly thriving in the UK.
