About 100 firefighters are tackling a fire at a block of flats in Battersea, south-west London. About 100 firefighters have tackled a fire at a block of flats in Battersea, south-west London.
The entire top floor and roof of the four-storey residential building on Maysoule Road is alight, London Brigade (LFB) says. A "significant amount of the building and the roof" of the five-storey residential building on Maysoule Road were destroyed in the blaze, London Brigade (LFB) said.
The building has been evacuated by fire crews wearing breathing apparatus, while firefighters have been using a large turntable ladder as a water tower to help tackle the flames from above. Fire crews were mobilised shortly after 19:00 BST and brought the fire under control at 23:01, it added.
Three people have been treated by paramedics at the scene; one of those has since been taken to hospital, one is being assessed, while another has been discharged. About 150 people were evacuated by fire crews wearing breathing apparatus, while firefighters used a large turntable ladder as a water tower to help tackle the flames from above.
