A service of thanksgiving is being held at Norwich Cathedral to remember six soldiers who lost their lives in Afghanistan.

Servicemen from the Light Dragoons recently returned home after a six-month tour fighting the Taliban and are in attendance with their families.

The service is to mark the regiment's return and formally recognise the bravery and sacrifice of the fallen.

Former chief of general staff General Sir Richard Dannatt gave an address.

Six servicemen died during the deployment, including Lance Corporal Nigel Moffett, Lance Corporal David Dennis, Trooper Christopher Whiteside and Trooper Phillip Lawrence.

Two men from the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers who were attached to the Light Dragoons also lost their lives. They were Craftsman Anthony Lombardi and Lance Corporal Richard James Brandon.
